Sunday’s Outfit: Off to church then off to rehearsals. Cantor Day —good vocal exercise for later’s show.

This is what it feels like to those who have non-theatrical related jobs during the daytime, they look forward to weekend shows such as this one. And you know that day has come when you unconsciously sing and hum show tunes which in my case I’ve been humming to “Where is Love?” and belting out “Food Glorious Food” . Thank God we don’t have patients right now. Anyhow, I’m keeping this post short since lunch break is almost over and we’re seeing patients in less than half an hour so to those who have not seen Oliver yet call the Broadway Bound Box Office line at 281-242-1055 and get your tickets. Only 3 shows left for this weekend (if I’m not mistaken) There’s one today at 7:30 pm and tomorrow April 27, 2013 at 2:30 pm and 7:30 pm. See you there!

Lace on Lace

NOTE TO SELF: It would help to CLICK on the PUBLISH button. Haha.

So when I said on IG ‘new post up tomorrow’…ummm…yeah, that never happened so here it is. I do want to apologize for the pixelized photos. I’m not really sure what’s wrong with Reno (my Canon EOS) but he’s been messing up a lot lately so ugly pictures were taken during Charles and Ann’s wedding shower. Ugh.

(TOP: 5,7,9/ SKIRT: Weavers/ PURSE: Forever 21/ HEELS: Wet Seal/ NECKLACE: Philippines, from Mommy Babe / EARRINGS: Aldo/ WATCH: New York and Company/ BRACELETS: Forever 21, Buffalo Exchange; from Katsie)

Haven’t worn these 2 colors in awhile: Light Pink and Lilac—my two most favorite colors.

Gold: I’ve noticed is most of the time my -go-to jewelry. Polished in an instant.

Today’s statement necklace

Awkward feet pose but I had to show off the strappy details on my heels.

The bride-to be, Ann, starting the dress up the mannequin (blindfolded) game. Haha. This should be interesting.

The PRO, Roxi, at work. Haha, I’m kidding love.

Refusing to touch that scarily sculpted guy mannequin’s torso.

FAIL. Underwear on the wrong side. Haha.

Mmmhmm mane…the quickest one so far.

Muyi’s turn…she’s struggling too.

Ice, sooooo done with it!

And the winner is…JASNA.

Someone didn’t take her turn and decided to take a terno pic with Amil. Vynna and Amil flexing their…stripes. haha

Not only do I have a thing for Lace, I also have a thing for Chandeliers hence the photo

Wasted photos just coz Reno was sick, these photos are soooo blurry. What a great time to mess up. Tsk.tsk.

Almacens, I’m just gonna have to steal a copy from you guys. Thanks.

Rehearsals today were cancelled mainly because I think the director was satisfied with our run the night before, or maybe they had to fix some technical stuff with the stage. I don’t exactly remember but either ways I was just glad that I got today off. I made it to the HH at Claudia’s place (those are always fun) and right after that Vynna and I headed to Charles and Ann’s wedding shower which I really didn’t want to miss. Ecstatic that I made it coz all of the girls were there (well, except for Hessa ofcourse enjoying PI and all) and as usual we had a very interesting afternoon. It’s always a blast with this crazy bunch. Always.

Stuck on Fall

(TOP: 5,7,9/ SKIRT: 5,7,9/ HEELS: Qupid/ PURSE: thrifted, Buffalo Exchange/ EARRINGS: thrifted/ CUFF: from Roxi/ WATCH: New York and Company/ RINGS: H&M)

showing off the thrifted purse, a steal for $9

Sheer Mustard Top. I gave into a Buy One Get One Free Temptation at 5,7,9

I’ve noticed a lot of autumn colors in the spring ensemble

I tried talking myself out of buying this at Buffalo Exchange but how could you not..It’s GOLD! haha

Opting for the ‘accessory overload’ look

Cheap fringe finds from Burlington Coat Factory

Obviously, a late post from that one day I went out during LENT (yes, this outfit post has been on ‘draft mode’ for that long). As much as I’d like to talk about the first few Oliver Shows over the weekend, I’ve decided to hold off on that and save it for an entirely different post. Right now, the only thing running in my head are ‘happy thoughts’.

At times, I dress up based on my emotions, sometimes based on an inspiration but today my sister and I dressed up just to show off some new purchases from 5,7,9. The first time I came across this store was during a trip to Fort Lauderdale with my fiance (boyfriend at that time) and my brother, Paulo 3-4 years ago. It wasn’t love at first sight but the store had potential so I looked it up online and I wasn’t too impressed with the website either. But their stuff in stores are not exactly as consistent with what they have online, not like the other veteran retail shops so you might want to check your local 5,7,9 store instead coz sometimes you do end up with good finds.  I’m just glad it came to First Colony Mall.

Most of these pieces were in the ‘Buy One Get One Free’ Sale, and those do make me go crazy so I had to practice some self-restraint. I came out of the store with 4 items (technically I just purchased 2 since the other 2 were freebies) and spent less than $10. Not bad at all. The knitted tribal pencil skirt is definitely a must-have, it’s not too tight and is extremely comfortable. I was gonna pair it with a nude sheer top but wanted to brighten the set so I opted for the mustard looking one instead. Tempted to say that my outfit was Coachella inspired but it’s a bit too made-up and precise for that.

Oh yeah…Here’s my sister’s look.

(TOP: 5,7,9/ SKIRT: Shasa/ BOOTS: Dolce Vita/ BEANIE: Claire’s or Icing/ NECKLACE: Philippines)

I’m glad she’s soooo over her ‘All-Black’ stage.

Once upon a time, she had the ugliest hair…Not Anymore. <envious>

Definitely not a kid anymore. You’re not cute either, haha.

After outfit shots there’s always ‘goofing around’ shots.

…And thank you to my other sister, Ann Marie for taking the photos. Apparently she’s too cool to join us. Haha.

Alrightie, have a good week y’all!

Busy and Loving It!

(TOP: Vintage/ SKIRT: Forever 21, from Katsie/ BELT: 5, 7, 9/ SHOES: Image/ CLUTCH: SM Department Store, Manila/ CUFF, NECKLACE, BRACELET: from Philippines/ EARRINGS: Aldo/WATCH: New York & Company/ SUNGLASSES: Buffalo Exchange)

Shout out to Katsie for the skirt. I finally had the chance to wear it.

Breaking the monotony with some ‘color pop’.

Back Details: “I wore my work out top to church and got away with it”  haha.

Accessory Details. Don’t pay attention to the ‘baby hair’, that’s been there forever.

I made myself a ‘waist’ with this uber tight belt that I bought during one of my trips to Florida

Successive schedule commitments… I’m tired but surprisingly happy. Less stressed and more overjoyed, it’s one of those days where you definitely can say Life is Good and God is good for making life so good (haha, does that make sense?)  6 years since our move to Houston and I haven’t felt this contented with my life. I’m not saying that it’s perfect, in fact it still is very topsy turvy, chaotic and unpredictable but the difference is I’ve learned to be at peace with it. Slowly coming to terms with my reality—let’s just leave it at that.

Before I end this very quick update, I’d like to invite you guys who are in my area to watch my first theatre production in 6 years and it’s also my first ever musical play here in the US so I’m kinda psyched about it. Broadway Bound’s Oliver is running from April 12 up to the end of this month. Consider yourself part of the family and click on the link to see more details. Hope to see you there!

…And to my fellow cast members, BREAK A LEG. Gaaaahhhhh…we’re opening in a week!!!!
