U.P Lantern Parade

It was nostalgic for the both of us, as my husband and I walked amongst lanterns and floats right before the festivities started, it’s probably been 8 years since I last witnessed a lantern parade, I don’t know how many years its been for Marco. This university tradition has been around since 1922 and was truly a part of our college life especially his, since the UP football team was always required  to walk the entire parade.Of all the days not to bring an umbrella it had to be today, it poured mightily and that of course delayed the start of the parade but I just took it as a blessing from up above. As we circled the UP oval, we bumped into some old college friends…yep, we always end up coming back to the university we call home. #iskolarngbayan
