Usually, this time around at 14 weeks, pregnant women don’t show any bump whatsoever but I found myself having to conceal my bump, not that I wasn’t proud of it. It’s just that I knew based on my past pregnancy that the probability of my bump being out there for everyone to see earlier than other women was great and I knew I’d be carrying that BIG bump for the next few months so I guess you can say I just wanted to enjoy a few more weeks dressing up as my regular self. I’m one of those pregnant women who you think are having twins but really their tummy is just excessively big and they show early on during the pregnancy.
14 weeks is a stage where people either start speculating that you’re pregnant or they would just rather think that you gained weight and have a beer belly so it’s safe to say that its that awkward-size stage. I found a pleated dress in my closet, a vintage piece from my grandmother and the pleats helped me conceal my abdominal area, so in photos I don’t look as pregnant as you would see me in real life but I started noticing my arms and thighs “filling up”. I was pretty good concealing that bump for awhile but the morning sickness this time around was unbearable unlike with my pregnancy with Cassie. Different smells would trigger my gag-reflex—Cooking Oil, Garlic, Onion, there were a bunch of things that I couldn’t stand and although I was pretty good holding off on the vomiting part I think not letting it out just made me feel worse inside.
So that pretty much summarizes where I am right now in my pregnancy, gaining weight and feeling puke-y 24/7. Yeah, they should really change what this thing is called coz it’s not just morning sickness…it’s the entire day for me but hey, who says you have to look crappy when you feel crappy right. That’s what dressing up is for. 😀

Sorry, I know nothing on this post is “purchasable” just coz most of it are vintage pieces or thrifted other than the sandals but I hope it inspires you to dress up during your pregnancy even if you feel crappy half the time.
