The Mayans say it’s the end of the world today…I guess not since I’m still scanning and posting photos of my family as we speak. Darn, that cd copy is taking forever for them to mail.
Well, whether or not the Mayans were right I think we shouldn’t wait until the end of the world to do the things that we want or need to do. People are pushed to live their lives to the fullest only because of a false deadline when in fact we have the choice to do that everyday with or without the end-of-the-world warning. Make it a habit to take a 5-minute break daily and just be grateful for all the wonderful (and even the not-so wonderful) things that are happening in your life right now. Easier said than done, I know, I’m also currently working on that but do learn to give, forgive and love. The Mayans may have been wrong this time around but when the time DOES come and it IS the end of the world , the worst feeling you’re ever gonna get is the feeling of regret…should have, would have, could have.
This Mayan prophecy thing got me thinking— Everyday, I am blessed to have this family right here (with or without the love-hate relationship) and I am twice blessed that God has given me a wonderful man whom I can spend the rest of my life with. I’d like to think HE is the author of our love story, sweetie—the perfect time and the right way. He’s been with us the entire 9 years of our relationship even if most of it we’ve spent apart. That’s all him, Marc.
Just feeling a lot blessed today. That’s all.
